IMPLANT STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION

How it WORKS

A dental implant is a titanium screw that acts as a replacement for missing teeth, providing a stable base. It is composed of three parts.
  • The implant post, also referred to as the body, acts as the foundational base and is embedded in the jaw to serve as a stable anchor.
  • Abutment | This component connects the implant post to the crown.
  • Crown | This is the part visible in the mouth. It can be a single crown or part of an implant-supported bridge spanning multiple implants.

Dental Implant Timeline

The process typically takes 5-6 months from start to finish.

1

The implant is placed into the bone and allowed to heal for a period of 3-4 months.

2

The now secure and healed implant is scanned with our 3D technology and sent to our laboratory to fabricate you new tooth.

3

Your new implant crown is precisely fit and secured onto your implant and ready for you to enjoy.

4

You can now brush, floss and enjoy eating on your new dental implant just like a regular tooth!

Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS

The optimal treatment plan will be determined during a consultation, as each case is individual.
The process is quite straightforward. Your implant is surgically placed into your jawbone and left to integrate for 4-6 months. Following this, impressions are taken, and your tooth is fabricated. Treatment time may be extended if bone grafting is required.
