Dr. Francis has been proud to call Vancouver Island home for the large majority of his life. His only departure was for his studies to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Francis has dedicated his career to advancing his understanding of oral health and his patient’s conditions through a wide range of continuing education, highlighted by extensive training at the world-renowned Kois Centre in Seattle, WA.
Dr. Francis and his wife are excited to be raising their one year old son Levi and three year old daughter Lennon in the rural community of Metchosin. In his spare time you will find Dr. Francis doing anything he can outdoors including archery, hiking and snowboarding in winter.

I am having a lot of fun at this point in my career and it is my pleasure to now be serving the community of Royal Bay and surrounding areas. Dr. Riaz Vejdani is a dedicated and compassionate dentist committed to providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. He began his academic journey at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver before traveling to Australia to pursue his passion for dentistry. He earned his dental degree from Griffith University Dental School, where he mastered his clinical skills and deepened his expertise in comprehensive patient care.
With a strong focus on restorative dentistry, root canal treatments, and a special interest in oral surgery—including wisdom tooth extractions—Dr. Vejdani combines precision and care to ensure the best outcomes for his patients. He believes in fostering strong patient relationships built on trust, personalized care, and open communication. Whether helping patients maintain optimal oral health or restoring confidence through transformative treatments, he is dedicated to creating a comfortable and positive dental experience for everyone.
Outside the office, Dr. Vejdani enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing musical instrument, and staying active in professional dental associations to stay at the forefront of advancements in dentistry.
